  • Treat your adventure gear to the market leading waterproofer!

Spray-on waterproofer you simply spray where you need it most, after you clean your gear.

    Why?

In order for waterproof gear to work it needs to be hydrophobic and breathable. Nikwax TX.Direct® Spray-On Waterproofer restores the Durable Water Repellency (DWR) of the garment preventing water absorption, maintaining breathability and keeping your dog dry and comfortable.

Your dogs' raingear could be soaking in water because it's dirty (I mean what dog doesn't like to get dirty???) in which case it needs a wash with Nikwax Tech Wash® to revitalize the DWR. But when that doesn't work, it may need added DWR using TX.Direct®, after a clean with Nikwax Tech Wash®. Traditional laundry detergents leave hydrophilic (water attracting) residues so they should be avoided when cleaning waterproof gear. A product that claims to both clean and waterproof is also to be avoided as it can seal in dirt and you don't need to re-waterproof your gear every time you clean it. Regular cleaning will enhance the performance of any waterproof gear. You should be able to clean 5-6 times with Nikwax Tech Wash® before it requires re-waterproofing with Tx.Direct®.

    How?

Nikwax TX.Direct® Spray-On Waterproofer has been specifically designed and optimized for breathable waterproof fabrics. It is quick and easy to use, and ideal for using right where you need it. However for whole garment waterproofing you're better off using Nikwax TX.Direct® Wash-In to ensures the garment is completely treated with Durable Water Repellency (DWR). The DWR develops during the air drying process which also saves energy and protects the garment from heat.
