The Beacon™ is a high-performance LED safety light to help keep dogs visible in low-light conditions or inclement weather. The Beacon is durable and waterproof, with an easy-to-use Quick Clip™ that attaches to Ruffwear apparel, harnesses, collars, and other gear.

The Beacon is rechargeable, with indicator lights to let you know when it’s charging or the battery is low. Easily cycle through three LED color options and three light modes for maximum visibility on your adventure. The Beacon is visible from all directions with a bright, full-body glow design.

Thèse are our second set (the first we’re lost in a move) and I am so happy I got another light for each of our dogs. We walk early in the morning, with a lot of traffic so these give me much more confidence that we will be seen and can walk safely. I definitely will not take my dogs out without them.

Great light. Highly visible but not too bright that it’s annoying. Light weight and doesn’t bother my pup while on his collar. I also find the two options for connecting to the collar or harness handy as clips almost always break so having a back up option is great.

My beagle always has a beacon on his Ruffwear harness when we go for his evening walks. These lights so good I thought we should have a spare on hand. It’s great that you can choose from three colours and light patterns, and best of all, it is rechargeable. Definitely worth the money!

Expensive but the best on the market. (I’ve tried cheeper models). It’s a reliable, waterproof, solidly build light. Keeps its charge for a VERY long time. Perfect for Ruffwear harnesses or coats. Lights up very well. Different flashing rythmes offered in each available colours: Red (shortest range), Green and Blue (which had the longest range). However, I would avoid switching it places too much as the metal claps does click on plastic (sturdy plastic but plastic none the less). The button is a little hard to press down (thumb strength needed) but it’s reliable and won’t be turned off by mistake.

December evening, moon playing peek-a-boo through clouds, as is Jupiter, and our local coyote pack is singing to the stars. Absolutely perfect for our after-supper, off-leash walk in the fields. Our boy is jet black and loves the night. He wears the Ruffwear Beacon on his harness between his shoulders. There, it doesn't mess with his night vision, but Dad can see him from a LONG way off. We love the connection that the Beacon creates between us in the dark.

The Ruffwear Beacon is great! This is the third one I have bought - sadly we lost two when rolling in the snow. They fit onto Ruffwear harnesses (some of them have a special place where the Beacon sits) and you have a choice of colours and whether you want the light steady or flashing. Easy to spot your pup in the dark. Easy to charge with supplied USB cable. Be careful that the closure is firmly closed otherwise a playful roll may dislodge it.

LOVE this rechargeable light. It is very bright and the battery seems to last long (even in -30c temps). We use the red light for city walks as it is not as bright on the eyes, and blue or green light for off leash bush walking where high visibility is needed. It clips easily onto our dog's collar or his RuffWear coat.

Happy to have tried out Ruffwear’s beacon light, which clips perfectly on my pup’s Ruffwear front range harness. I hesitated at the cost, but like that it’s rechargeable and has a number of settings (light pattern and color). It seems pretty rugged, so it’ll likely outlast cheaper battery powered lights I’ve used in the past. Will be ordering a second one for my other dog!

What a great product! Rede, my 14 wk old Border Terrier, loves to explore her yard at night and now I always know where she is in the dark. It is easy to charge, attach and detach on the light loop on her Ruffwear Hi and Light harness and it's lightweight! Rede will be safer and easy to spot whether she is on an offlead night-time adventure in the yard or out for an onlead evening stroll.

Having two rescues that have an innate instinct to hunt, it is critical that I can see them running through the forest and not get too far astray. These lights are the best ever! They are incredibly bright and have gone through swamp and lake water and still shine bright! We don't go out without them. And best of all, they are rechargable and hold their charge for a very long time.

We purchased these for our many night walks, and for when we go camping. If the dogs run off, they are very easy to follow when wearing these lights. The light can be seen from a long distance. The colour option is nice to have, and the flashing option makes them all the more visible. Also love the fact that these can be recharged. No more batteries! A great product that every dog owner should have on their dogs collar.

A bit pricy but well worth it - I thought I lost my first beacon, and discovered it over a week later in the mud. IT STILL WORKED after sitting fully exposed to torrential rain for days! I've had my first one for years now, but I've decided to buy a second so I don't need to transfer my one beacon from her collar to her harness.
