Musher's Secret is a dense, barrier wax that forms a breathable bond with your dog's paws. The semi-permeable shield is absorbed into the paws, allowing perspiration to escape through the toes.

HINT: Rub a little on your hands. When it is absorbed, you will know it is absorbed into the pads as well.

Our boy is a GSD / Labrador / Husky mix who has webs between his toes. He has very thick fur, including between his toes, (a winter lad from northern Manitoba), which tends to keep the webs from drying. As a result, he sometimes gets red, itchy paws. When that happens one or two applications of Musher's Secret worked in between his toes fixes the problem. We've been using it for more than a year now and think it's great!

I like the Musher's secret because its not too oily and its natural. My cocker spaniel is refusing to wear boots so I bought this wax to treat her paws and keep them healthy.

I can't put booties or shoes on my dog. Canadian winter is harsh on his paws. I have tried a few different types of paw butter/balm on him, none worked as well as Musher's Secret. The texture is not too hard or too mushy so it's easy to apply. The smell is pleasant but not too strong. Also not like some other paw wax that I have tried on him, my dog doesn't reject the smell or loves to lick it right off. It doesn't leave oily marks on where he walks by after applying. All in all, I am very pleased with the product and I have bought a few in different sizes so I have them upstairs, downstairs at home also in my car. It helps with my dog's paws. I love how this wax works well on my Weim’s paws. I apply enough and massage it into his paws before we go out in the -25C weather. He seems to be ok with it. I also use it to heal his super cracked pads and after a few times, they are healed up. The scent is very light not over powering and the wax doesn’t smudge on my carpet or hardwood flooring. Great product!

Great product . We take our dog for lots of winter walks. We try to keep her out of the salt and she has never shown signs of discomfort while walking but I noticed some cracks starting to form on the bottom of her paws. Within a couple days of using the product I noticed a great improvement in the look of her paws. The product soaks in quickly and surprisingly does not make a mess in the house. The container did arrived cracked but luckily the product is thick so not a huge problem.

I love the product Mushers........I have voiced my strong support of this product to dog owners at the dog park and I know they are using on a regular basis. I had three dogs up to one year ago and it was a real chore to get their coats on and their feet mushed for walks. However, this product works well with all the salt that the city drops on sidewalks and also for the slush we plod through. I have one friend that uses it for HER feet to keep them soft! I certainly have a huge supply now but did not want to pay for shipping so got 2 containers. I have given your name to others with whom I associate.

Musher's Secret didn't work at all for my dog. I normally have to put boots on when it's -20°C (-4°F). We get soft powdery snow here, not even wet heavy snow. I put a thin coat on his feet and his feet still got cold. I tried again using more... still didn't work. I tried a third time and it seemed to help the snow pack onto his feet. I ended up returning it.

Mushers Seceet has been great for our snow dog. He hates boots, but loves walks. Great compromise. I usually bring a nitrile glove to apply at the trailhead because when it's cold it doesn't like to wipe off of hands very easily (which is a good thing, really).

I've been using Mushers Secret on my two small dogs for about three winters now. The container lasts a long time (even the smallest one) and seems to really help my little guys in the winter. Without it, they have trouble dealing with the cold and the salt on their paws. I can't really explain how it works, but it makes winter walks much for tolerable for my dogs.
