    Love them!

Our dog Reiss had surgery on her paw and with the amount of snow we've been getting in New England we were concerned her incision would be affected. After doing some research on line we decided to try Ruffwear Polar Trex boots. I was a little frustrated in the beginning because the boots arrived and were way too big. My husband called and the person he spoke to was extremely helpful, polite and eager to get us the right size. We figured out that we measured her paw wrong and they walked us through the right way to measure her paws. They rushed our new order through, helped us return the wrong size and within a week had the right boots for Reiss. At first we had a hard time keeping them on her paws but after a few times of her wearing them they are staying on during her walks, plus we got the boot liners which help too. All in all we are happy with the boots and they protect her paws. Would recommend them.

This was my pitbull puppy's first Chicago winter, and I was having trouble getting her to go outside to do her business. After 2 minutes outside she would start lifting her paws and limping and I'd have to carry her inside.. She weights about half my weight, so I knew I had to find something that would make her walks a little less painful for her poor feet. We tried the cheap $20 boots from Petsmart, but we couldn't get them to stay on to make it out the door of our condo building. A family member recommended these Ruffwear boots and it was the best purchase we've made so far this winter! :) As long as I put them on so they're fitted tightly around her, they stay on without trouble.

People here complain about boots not staying on, but I had no problems with that. I think that if you measure correctly all 4 paws, and order separate sizes that match each paw, you won't have problems. Anyway, great product, very well made, just be sure to also buy Liners with them, if you have a short coat dog.

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

Impressive quality boot when it comes to material and form. We have used them for two winters (and on a few hot asphalt days) and they are tough and do the job of protecting the paws from elements very well. The downside has been the function of keeping them on. My lab has long legs and I'm not sure if that is the contributing factor, but these boots work themselves off. I've thankfully observed them when they start to slip, but it would be quite easy to lose one in the snow while the pups are playing, especially in deep snow. I have been recommended to use athletic tape at the top cuff to secure them but the added time in putting them on and taking them off isn't practical for our needs. If these could stay on better it would be a 5 star product in my book. Regardless, still the best quality material boot you can buy and Rev and I still continue to use them for our winter outings which are frequent here in Colorado!
