The Ruffwear Vert Jacket is a waterproof, windproof, breathable dog jacket designed for winter conditions. Inspired by mountain guides and dogs who work on the mountain, the Vert offers protection from the elements for more outdoor adventures! Leg loops keep the jacket in place while the leash portal allows the Vert to be worn over most harnesses, including the Front Range Harness. Fold up the oversized storm collar for maximum weather protection. Live. Love. Play - rain, shine, or snow!

Love all things ruffwear for our greyhound cross! He's very long and slim so many other brands don't quite cover his whole back or absolutely swamp him. This padded jacket is great and works really well with his ruffwear harness. Only thing that surprised us is that this jacket is a slightly smaller fit then the shell jacket we have for him so if your pup is between sizes it might be better to size up.

My frenchton is 32 pounds of trail walking dog..he gets cold easily in winter months and this coat works well..it covers him good and he can run freely.

The coat is perfect for my English Springer Spaniel Sadie! She trotted around the house when she tried it on. She thought she looked very smart in her new jacket. It is light weight but you can tell it will be warm. She is about 38lbs and the small fit her well. Even a bit of room in the chest but the adjusters work well. She will be covered from wet snow and rain all the way to her tail area. Love it!

I love this coat! It fits well, the hidden buckles make it look clean, the hind leg straps keep it from shifting, and the tail cutout is perfect for dogs who have “up” tails (the cutout isn’t a hole is the shape Ruffwear has made the coat edge). It’s the perfect amount of insulation for a close-coated senior dog and our relatively mild Victoria winters. Love the reflective stripe too. Best of all, the smooth lining doesn’t hold those pesky short Pointer hairs - other coats can get itchy where the hairs get caught but not this one. Glaedr is 74 lbs and is wearing a size L. I wanted a jacket that would protect my English Springer Spaniel from cold temperatures, snow, rain, and harsh winds. The Ruffwear Vert jacket fulfills these criteria. Following the sizing chart, I ordered a size S for my Springer. The jacket was shipped promptly and arrived in roughly a week. The clever design and quality construction made for an excellent fit! I was really impressed that her harness could be worn comfortably under the jacket and that the leash portal lined up perfectly with the leash attachment on the harness. Easy to get on and off and fits well. A large fits our 60lb german shepherd. Wish the back leg loops were just a bit longer but they are stretchy and keep the coat in place when it's windy. Well made and is very compressible, so great to jam into your pack. We've used it with temperatures down to -30C.

Fits great & is exactly what we were looking for. (Followed the fit guide & worked great) It warmed up just when the jacket came in the mail so we haven’t used it yet. But with cooler temperatures coming back again soon we look forward to still being able to getting our Charlie out on some adventures. Love this!!! We used to have a vest-type coat for Murray but the part covering his lower back would always flip up in windy weather. The leg straps on the Vert are fantastic to keep the coat in place.

We're pretty chuffed with this purchase. Frodo is an active fellow but despite that, he lacks a very insulative undercoat and especially when it's windy and he gets wet, he can experience chills. H is outside all day as he is tasked with protecting our chickens and sheep from predators. This might little jacket keeps him much more comfortable and safe as he works and plays outside. Like all Ruffwear products, this coat is terrific. Light, looks comfortable and it fits well. The only thing I would change, if I could, is to make the elastics that go around my dog's hind legs to keep the coat more firmly against her butt a little looser. She hates them, so we don't them. The Ruffwear rain jacket (newest style), on the other hand, is not a problem at all because the elastics are not quite as snug. Not a big deal, though; I will work on stretching them out a bit and try again. In the meantime, I am still very pleased with the coat. We live in Vancouver and I thought my dog was unlikely to use the jacket very often, until we got hit with record breaking low temps this week. It is freezing here and we have used it regularly over the past couple of days.

What a great fit! My GSP can be hard to fit with jackets snd sweaters. I followed your sizing chart and it was perfect! The base of her tail fits exactly where the jacket is notched. And lots of room for her deep chest. The jacket stays put with lots of running. There was no twisting.
